SOUTHERN ONTARIO SPRINTS RELEASE 2014 SCHEDULE

The schedule for the eighteenth season of competition is now set for the Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS). 2014 will see the SOS visit 4 different tracks across the province, including a return to one for the first time in a while. As well, the SOS continues the tradition as an affiliate sanctioning body for the 10th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals. (MORE)

 

Naida Wins While Jones Captures 2013 Championship

By Greg Calnan – The dream season is complete for Chris Jones as a third place finish in the Southern Ontario Sprints final points race helped lock up his first series title. Dain Naida won the race while teammate and series runner-up Jamie Collard finished second. (more)

 

Chris Jones One Step Closer To First Sos Title

By Greg Calnan – Southern Ontario Sprints points leader Chris Jones used good luck and some hard work to draw one race closer to his first ever series championship. Mechanical issues in his qualifying heat couldn’t slow the Demorestville, Ontario native down as he cruised to his fourth win of the season and third in a row at Brighton Speedway. (more)

 

Barney Blasts by Poirier to Capture SOS/PST Canada Event at Cornwall

POIRIER TAKES SOS/PATRIOT SPRINT TOUR EVENT AT BROCKVILLE SPEEDWAY

Rich Vleck, BROCKVILLE, Ont. (August 24, 2013)- Steve Poirier’s performance Saturday Night was in effect a microcosm of his 2013 season: he started off well, established himself as a front runner early on, was challenged by some others for supremacy for a while before once again distinguishing himself when it counted the most.
